JoePa has inked (23) Iowa State transfers.

From what I’ve seen, mostly 2-3 star guys. The QB was the biggest get, and they got the backup too, who would be the anticipated starter when Rocco Becht is done after next season.

On the surface, a group of 3 star players from a so-so Big 12 team to a BIG team doesn’t seem like an impressive haul, but people would have said the same thing about the kids that came with Curt from JMU. You just never know how it’s going to work out. Penn State’s schedule next year isn’t exactly the most daunting gauntlet to run. It sets up well for a transition year.

I’m still on a flight across the country and 2/3 of the plane erupted when IU got the pick to end it. Fun atmosphere to enjoy the game with about 300 strangers at 36,000 feet. I think most of the country was rooting for IU.

Congrats to Curt. What a great story and accomplishment for him, and Big Guy is smiling down. Miami was right there and battled to the end. This was a good playoff year and the natty was an outstanding finish.
