Recently retired Montana HC Bobby Hauck unexpectedly unretired and was announced as the DC at Illinois. Wow.

I think NIU being a good FBS program already helped them and they are kind of in the Chicago market too.Originally posted by TheBigCat2192 View Post
Perhaps NIU got a discount because they signed on early, instead of waiting 'til the MWC put out the details of their new media deal(s).
As for NDSU, when you think in a 20yr time frame, 17.5 million isn't that much especially since P4 teams are scheduling literally every other FCS school other than NDSU. Oregon in 2028 is the only P4 game currently on NDSU's schedule and that was announced in 2015. Every FCS school is getting $500k to $1million every year that NDSU doesn't get. As an FBS team, NDSU will get $1.5 million for those same types of games (if they can get them.)

I saw some online speculation that Northern Illinois was already an FBS team so the higher fee showed NDSU was serious about this move. Plus there aren't very many FBS teams with all other sports staying behind in a largely FCS/mid-D1 conference.Originally posted by tony View Post

Montana LB Solomon Tuliapupu has been granted a 9th year of eligibility by the NCAA. He was a highly touted recruit who signed with USC in 2018. He’s had an injury ravaged career, which is certainly unfortunate, but definitely not unique to him. I haven’t dove too deep into the whole story yet, but it’s certainly getting a good deal of attention.

James Van Der Beek passed away at age 48 today from colorectal cancer. Most applicable to this message board he was Jonathan Moxon in the fantastic teen drama football movie Varsity Blues. Probably more famously he was title character in Dawson’s Creek, which if you’re around my age, you watched whether you want to admit it or not. Very sad news.

My doctor hasn't told me I had to get the camera up the bum yet....maybe he will this year but I think I did the Cologuard last year....Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post
At your age, you should get a colonoscopy. It's a lot more reliable. Cologuard produces a fair number of false negatives.

OT: Last night, Penn State's wrestling team (ranked #1) won their 85th straight dual meet by crushing Ohio State (ranked #2) 36-5 at the Bryce Jordan Center. PSU won 9 of the 10 bouts. Attendance was 16,006, a new NCAA dual meet record for wrestling, breaking the old record of a PSU-Iowa dual meet by 8 people. Is it the greatest dynasty all-time in NCAA sports?

Certainly under Sanderson. In terms of a school, Notre Dames 11 National Championships in football over decades is up there too.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View PostOT: Last night, Penn State's wrestling team (ranked #1) won their 85th straight dual meet by crushing Ohio State (ranked #2) 36-5 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
