The NCAA has no balls to shut it all down.

MEC cancelled yesterday because they said once the NCAA guidelines became regulations they couldn't ensure they would be met. Had planned to play before that since most of the schools are in WV and there are not many cases there.

Maybe the Great American Conference can go ahead and play and call its best team the national champion.

I think they did shut everything down, just in the exact way you think they did. They cancelled all championships except in FBS football, which they don't offer anyway. Beyond that, there isn't a lot the NCAA actually has the power to do. Simply saying they can't play can run into certain legal issues that would end up in court. By going the way they are, they are following their guidelines, while letting their membership handle the decision making (and the costs associated with it).

Does any know how the coaching staffs are holding up in these shutdowns? Are they still working full time, part-time, not at all, with full, partial, or no salary or any combination of work time and salary?
