Thanks. Reminded med to look it up. As a senior he was leading the nation in pass receptions (28), receiving yards (485), touchdowns (10) and scoring (64) before suffering a season-ending knee injury in the fourth week of the year.. "Following college, Stan starred for the Lackawanna County Eagles, a team that would achieve lasting fame as the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Eagles. Kucharski also coached with the team and was offensive coordinator for a pair of national championship teams. His high school coaching career spanned four decades with Scranton Prep, Mid Valley and Paupack." I believe he also played some pro football with Harrisburg Capital Colts in 1969 and Jersey Tigers in 1970.

    Rich Lichtel was the QB

I saw the assistant HC for Imhotep was trying to get Timothy a prep school opportunity he thought he was FCS/FBS material glad the kid found a home and if he's as good as they say he is he'll be able to make a lasting footprint at Bloom.

Article on Feiler's development. Noted that the late Brian Clarke was the best OL on those Bloom teams.

Rumor has it Bloom has hired a new assistant coach and judging by his resume he'll be the DC?

Wow I'd imagine that would be a pay decrease coming from a private D3 program as a HC to a D2 state school as DC. Maybe the stress of being a HC got to him and he's much at peace being a coordinator with less stress and headaches. He was successful at Misercordia especially with them being a newly started program.

Yeah I'd be interested in learning his rationale. Being a D3 head coach is probably close enough in pay to being a D2 coordinator with a lot less stress. I was thinking geography but always forget Misercordia is in Dallas - confuse its location with Muhlenberg.

                          Misericordia and Muhlenberg aren't similar.

D3 HC's are only making $50-60k per year? That's very low considering most D3 schools are private and tuitions are normally 1.5 to 2xs as high as the state funded public schools.

Private universities pay rank and file less than public. Executive leadership (Deans, VPs, Presidents) make more but they pay everyone else way less. Sometimes WAY less. Private school tuition that you see is also a false sticker price. It scares away some folks and attracts others. You want to see their "average net price" which considers the discounting they do. Its just like a car dealership but with federal regulation that allows us to see some high level numbers.

Makes sense and I bet Buffalo luring Lance Leipold from a D3 school made it a no brainer for him considering the jump in levels and the salary increase of probably 5xs what he was making as a D3 HC. Also made it easy for Jim Clements to leave Delaware Valley for Kutztown.
