Slippery Rock at Wayne State - Closer than many think. WSU has some payback on its mind -- and a ton of returning players. Rock wins by single digits.

Lake Erie at Clarion - The Golden Eagles have to win this one at home ... may not be many more chances this year.

Gannon at Northwood - Both had ugly Spring seasons ... taking the #boom-squad. #LIT-AF

Pace at East Stroudsburg - Pace made some strides in 2019. So did ESU.

Shepherd at Ohio Dominican - ODU went in to Shepherdstown and won in 2019. The Rams get some payback under the lights. This won't be an easy one, however.

California at Fairmont State - Not an easy opener for the Vulcans. If they survive, they won't be challenged again for well over a month. Cal is too deep for FSU. Close most of the game.

Edinboro at Grand Valley State - Not a friendly debut for a rookie head coach.

Wheeling at Seton Hill - If Wheeling can handle the roaring crowd of 73 people, it will come out on top.

West Chester at Bentley - The walk-ons go on the road and light up the host.

Assumption at Kutztown - Assumption isn't a pushover. Will the Bears be caught looking ahead to the Week 2 trip to Jimmy Stewartville?

West Virginia State at Shippensburg - Red Raiders get a test in first half but eventually pull away.

Bloomsburg at Stonehill - Tough opener for the Huskies.

Alderson Broaddus at Mercyhurst - The Lake Show starts the season as a heavy favorite. Marty Ball slow-down offense keeps score around 28-7.

Lock Haven at Lincoln - The Bald Eagles smacked Lincoln in 2019. Similar result in 2021.

Cal - not sure about this one, don't like them on the road here but I think FSU just has too many newcomers to pull it off in week 1

Kutztown - think this one will be fairly close, they pull it off late
Ship - think this one is close as well, going with the home team
