I believe it was mercyhurst about 10 years ago or so...2011 ish?

See above answer. Remember when multiple teams tie for the crown, the PSAC awards shared titles. They will use a tiebreaker to see who plays in the championship game, but they still award shared division titles.

I think Edinboro won it outright a couple times in the 90s. Once in the Jody Dickerson era (early 90s) and maybe once more in the Chris Hart & Gerald Thompson era (mid 90s).

I would have guessed Clarion. Cal didn't really make it the 'Big 3' until 2005 or so.

I seem to recall Clarion winning one in the late 90s ... maybe 97?

I think you're right. The year they narrowly lost in the national semis to Aaron Smith and Northern Colorado.
