  • PSAC football weather 10/30...

Looks like possibly the wettest Saturday yet in '21. The games are such mismatches or non-starters that I'm guessing grandstands may be more empty than usual.

    12:00...

    SRU @ GU--50s, 70% rain, 10-15 mph.
    MC @ CLAR--50s, 80% rain, 5-10 mph.
    MILL @ KUTZ--60s, 60% rain, 5-10 mph.

    1:00....

    SHIP @ ESU--60s, 75% rain, 5-10 mph.

    2:00...

    EU @ IUP--50s, 70% rain, 5-10 mph.
    SHEP @ BLOOM-- 60s, 60% rain, 5-10 mph.

    4:00...

    WCU @ LHU--50s, 60% rain, 5-10 mph.
    SHU @ CAL--50s, 70% rain, 5-10 mph.

Wet weather might make a few coaches nervous.

Depending on the condition of the field and the drainage, SRU and GU better hang on to that ball. McConnell looks to be getting quite a soaking right now !!

I do miss the days of muddy football. That was the reward for sitting through the rain watching DII football. I recall that Clarion's field had a crazy crown on it.

As of 10:30 a lot of scattered showers moving north from WV on the Western side. In the East it looks like Hubert Jack could be messy but the rest probably clear out by game time.

If I had to bet an upset today, I like GU over SRU.

GU is really impossible to predict. 28-21 OT win at 1-6 NORTHWD, 27-31 loss at 2-6 BLOOM, squeaker 23-28 loss at then undefeated IUP, close wins at SHU and home vs BORO. Heaven knows who shows up this week but it could be close.....or a blowout????

They win one game a year they shouldn't. They are due. Call it a hunch.
