    • I'd have to imagine with Jackon Taylor's size and success so far, he's going to get at least an FCS offer. Otherwise, I hope Shepherd offers immediately.

It's such a strange market right now. There are some schools almost ignoring the high school market to focus on transfers. An Edinboro DB with no INTs this year picked up an FCS offer according to his twitter.

So, that's an average of 5 or 6 per team, right? That's crazy.

Where are you seeing the total entrants # at? Are you able to break it down by school at all?

There are some media outlets reporting the total. Some third parties are tracking online based on player announcements. The actual portal has exclusive access.

The Twitter World has many outlets tracking it.

All you need is a connection inside the football office and they can access it.

It’s not exactly new for D2 teams to have this kind of roster attrition. How many times have people joked on this very board about spring rosters and end of season rosters not being worth the paper they’re printed on?

The biggest differences between now and even 10 years ago are
                          1. Every player who wants out gets to dump their name into one big list instead of going it alone
                          2. The window is open longer/earlier
                          3. There are fewer guys dipping down from FBS as one-season rentals to avoid the old rule about having to sit a season after transferring. Now those guys can just go FBS to FBS with substantially fewer restrictions

I'm waiting for a friend to confirm, but I believe it is very difficult for a coach can block a transfer. However, its getting very difficult for trouble makers to transfer. The NCAA has a new rule that requires a disciplinary background check for all transfers. Basically prevents the days of a coach helping to get a thorn out of the locker room and make him somebody else's problem.
