It's all about getting football players. Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt recruited a kid from Mechanicsburg a couple of years ago who later ended up at Penn State. McDevitt is on the East Shore of the Susquehanna River, Mechanicsburg on the West Shore. It had little to do with getting a Catholic education as another Catholic High School, Trinity, is located within the boundaries of the Mechanicsburg school district.
