    Total Defense- 280.7 ypg (6)

    IUP Rushing- 82.9 ypg (4)
    IUP passing- 192.2 ypg (8)
    Total Defense- 275.1 ypg (4)

    MISC
    Turnover Margin
    IUP- +4
    Rams- +12

Seems to be pretty even from that stat book, Shepherd has been a bit more explosive on offense, but could be just the difference in depth between East and West divisions this year. Defensive numbers are pretty even, with Shepherd causing more turnovers.

Shepherd hasn't been tested since late September really against Kutztown, hasn't had a game come within 17 pts since then. IUP on the other hand has had 3 late season battles with Cal, Rock and Gannon so they could be a bit more battle tested.

It's really pretty amazing. Not many people at the D2 level get this opportunity, especially QBs.

Not little old Shepherd but a good PSAC program. It's hard to feel like a juggernaut when you haven't won a conference championship in quite a few years and never in the PSAC.

Thanks for sharing this and interesting to see side by side. Having not really been tested in a few weeks is cause for concern and on the road. Ernie and his staff will have them ready to roll...hoping for decent weather..

I'd guess at that number, the money would have started to shift a bit as the week wore along and the number would likely be on the board around Shepherd -3.5 by kickoff Saturday.

The Pick 'Em results as of 4:30 p.m. today (with no spread on the game):

    Shepherd - 16 picks
    IUP - 6 picks

Sounds about right, hope its a good game, and possibly just round 1 this year.

The Shepard thing is just lazy, but we've seen it before. I wonder if the person who wrote it can spell Shepherd now? Honestly, nothing would make me happier than this team dragging the PSAC trophy out of Pennsylvania and placing it in a trophy case in our "Hillbilly" state.

I think some of us old Shepherd fans have a chip on our shoulders due to interactions with PSAC fans in the past. It took us a long time to get that respect, but Shepherd got it by kicking other teams' teeth in. I never will forget before the 2010 regional final at Mercyhurst, we kept hearing about how Shepherd couldn't run on Mercyhurst. We were about to see a defense unlike we had ever seen that season. And Shepherd went on to run all over the Lakers. Even afterward, people would say that Shepherd was only successful because of its conference. Now, you have some of those same teams honestly worried to play Shepherd when they used to laugh at the Rams and take them lightly. It sure is something to see for a guy who used to go watch Shepherd play at a stadium that seated less people than my old small high school.
You are Goliath now. IUP is the home underdog.

    :-)
