I knew 20-some years ago when IUP just about beat Youngstown State (in their heyday) that we'd never see another local 1-AA (now FCS) game again.
Same token the local small D1s would rather go out and play the money games (like Duquesne is playing at Florida State, etc.). It is comical Pitt, Duquesne and Robert Morris are in the same city and refuse to play each other in football.
Joe can't even get an exhibition against any of the local D1 schools. Every year when they travel to Kentucky or Syracuse, etc., he makes sure to mention it. John Calipari even took at shot at it after IUP played them a couple years ago. He said they have to come the whole way down here because nobody in Pittsburgh will play them. Remember the IUP ladies beat Pitt a few years back at the Pete. They are likely never getting invited back.
