That's a positive alliance. It's a good thing. But I'm leery of this guy Smith and his leverage to move IUP resources to Punxsy (my moniker on here is just coincidental). The resources diverted from Indiana to Punxsy for the Culinary School are major. I think it would be better to have that Culinary School at the main campus but now there is so much infrastructure and equipment in Punxsy I don't think you can move it. He does a great job at promoting Punxsy but I think it is at the expense of Indiana. Nevertheless, the hospital arrangement is good, I guess. Is it needed at this point in the process? Who knows. Or, does it siphon off resources from IRMC?

I always thought the Culinary school being in Punxsy was odd. nobody equates that town as a foodie place.

I imagine IUP will sign an agreement with Indiana Hospital.

It’s a shame the school can’t buy both hospitals as establish IUP Medicine like Penn Medicine.

That way you keep the Trumpism at bay.
Problem is, you have plenty of the orange one's supporters in the legislature, and they have to sign off on Pa. budgets.

The Indiana Hospital (IRMC) is already in. The med school is a collaboration between IRMC and IUP (more or less).

          • Dondrea Tillman was signed to a 2.84 M 3 year contract with the Denver Broncos. He’s been tearing up the UFL for Birmingham. Hope he has good luck

Tillman most recently played for the United Football League’s Birmingham Stallions, for whom he recorded 32 tackles and four sacks.

            • IUP groundhog, when were you at Punsxy? I was there from 98-99. Loved that area.

I never was. That's what I was saying. I have no connection to Punxsy.

That's really great! It seems like he possesses the ingredients for success in the NFL.

It will be interesting to follow how he fares. As one of the top players in the UFL, this is the idea, right? To move up. It seems like less of a leap than it is to go from college to the NFL.

Sounds like a league minimum salary or something similar? Maybe a small bonus. If he gets cut he loses the remainder. I know you know this, just stating for the others.

Punxsutawney Country Club is a very nice course. All in all it's a typical town for the area (with a very famous rodent).

                        • Just wondering, since hurst is leaving to get the hell beat out of them, has the PSAC been able to add another team? I thought we were going after frostburg, or west liberty and fairmont. Sorry if this has been answered.

Nothing has been announced or even acknowledged by anyone in Lock Haven.

That's not going to be made 'officially' public until it's a done deal. Remember, there is absolutely no media pressure in D2 (there's hardly any media in D2).

It will happen ... just a matter of when it gets announced.

Well, if the 'old' one has another debate like last week ... the 'orange' one will be your next President. That was just awful to watch.
