Guys,

If you are going to talk politics please either head to the off topic or elsewhere. This chat was flagged for name calling. I realize Brandon would keep on eye on this thread and the forum, but with his condition, he’s got much bigger concerns than the chat..and Chuck and I (who are keeping the lights on) don’t have the time or bandwidth for reading pages of back and forth. Let’s try and be more civil and less political. Thanks.

You could solve a lot of these problems by just banning the biggest instigator. You know, the guy who’s constantly starting things with his self-created nicknames and calling people he opposes “Trumpanzees.” Has twice as many lifetime posts as anyone else on the site. Can’t imagine how fast someone would have gotten booted off the board for calling Obama voters “Obamatuangs” or other ape puns.

I'm a fiscal Republican and social moderate. 2 years ago I made a pro Republican post and was immediately chastised by Brandon despite numerous name calling prior posts in the same thread by people on the far left. When I called Brandon out on it, some other posters pointed out I was correct and it was a double standard.

I would encourage Matt and Chuck and I know they are busier than heck right now and I know I and I think all of us appreciate what they have done through the years and the double duty they are currently pulling. But I would encourage them to put a no politics gag order in place on the football part of this board. This would include political name calling from either side such as your examples above. 1st offense a warning in the thread so there is transparency. 2nd offense 1 week ban. 3rd offense one month ban.

How many times do you let the homeless loiterer ranting to himself and trying to start fights with your other customers go before you call the cops and have him banned from your establishment? Apparently the mods are using a 30 strike rule.

2. I put him on my personal ignore list and he’s such an obnoxious instigator that I still have to see his comments because he can’t go two seconds without starting a fight and getting quoted.

I had to deal with a lot of pests like him when I was working as the evening manager at a grocery store. Eventually you need to do something more forceful than just saying “p-p-p-please stop doing this” or they’ll just keep doing it.

You obviously have reading problems. The politics started in post 5716. It kept up through post 5733 before I responded.

Per usual, some of the players stick around for the summer and I run into them coming and going from the Field House and sometimes see them working out on the field. Seems like a bigger crowd this summer than usual, although that’s totally anecdotal.

They seem to have a big haul on campus this summer (more than most years).

It may be a coincidence, but the years I see very few around town and working out at the stadium ... IUP usually has an off year.

There's also no better time than the summer sessions to raise the GPA. Easiest classes in the world.

Here's the problem with you guys. You always get frustrated and resort to personal attacks. I've been reading Nation's posts for a long time and he doesn't really personally attack people directly. There is a difference. He criticizes a lot, but he doesn't do what you are doing now.

What is “Trumpanzee” if not a personal attack? I figure I’ll be just as much of an ass as him and see if the mods let it go. If they do then I’ll stop my criticism of them since it shows they’re at least consistent even if I think they’re doing a poor job.
