Like I said yesterday, it's the one position they are very deep. If you break rules/laws (again) ... you're gone. End of story. You are correct. Monaco is a great RB and he was a great RB on a very suspect team. He will have much more talent around him at IUP. Houser can also be a pretty top tier back -- if he can stay on the field.

Keenan Brown, however, was a MASSIVE loss. They do have a couple younger WRs coming off redshirts they are pretty excited about.

Randy Washington did return to practice yesterday and J.D. Younger has already been moved back to RB (from DB). Younger was moved to DB in the Spring due to the depth at RB.

I'd venture to guess we see a few additions in the next 48 hours. What can you find off the street on Aug. 21? Probably more than you'd think. But, there's usually a catch.

The IG article says Houser will likely be the starter. Is Monaco healthy?

My take on the police report is that he got pulled over (traffic violations) and fled the scene (stupid). Why would you flee? Ok, don't answer that. So, it's unfortunate.

The article also says they have Massey but I always got the impression that Karst was comfortable with Brown. It's all crazy.

But in the end you've got to go with the players you've got. And you never know who might emerge as a star.

Several teams should kick the tires for a quick pick up of Stewart. He's coming with baggage and will be a headache, but very talented. I'd be okay with Edinboro giving him a whirl if he starts on strike 2. Anything else and he's gone.

Frankly, I don't think there is any integrity if any team picked him up right now. I think it's more than baggage and a headache. He will be facing these charges.

Well, there's little integrity in college recruiting (regardless of all the b.s. coach speak we hear).

As we know players get signed immediately with way worse charges. That said, he's no longer a part of the IUP program, so the typical slap on the wrist treatment (or dismissal of charges) that usually follows inside Indiana County Courthouse may not be the case.

Regardless, Stewart is obviously an extremely talented player. I'd be willing to bet he's in a camp next week. It wouldn't shock me in the least if IUP is playing against him this season.

If he hadn’t allegedly taken off on foot I think a good lawyer could have gotten some of this plead down given that the first two charges are procedural nonsense about window tint and perhaps using a phone and the third reads like lane drift. Suspended license is a little dicier though.

I'm not saying I disagree with you. But, IUP's taken on players with far worse baggage so it is what it is. Dayjure's phone is likely blowing up today.

Goodness we could write a book about all the baggage Frank brought to Indiana.

Tort may need to tone this camp down a bit. They have a crazy number of players banged up already. You expect some, but, ...

For those who missed it (or care) ... IUP named its Interim Band Director.

The previous one left to take the same job at his alma mater.

The band was making some headway. Hopefully we aren't heading back to Ghostbusters.

I'm a pretty forgiving person, too. While I don't know this individual personally and it may be unfair for me to judge him, I don't see him learning any lessons. He is like 23 or 24 years old. It sounds to me like it would have been much worse had he not fled. Did they catch him and apprehend him? I don't think so because the report says they didn't read him his rights or anything. Impressed they've kept this out of the Gazette. The charges sound like the report would be an entertaining read.

It was filed Friday and neither the IG or WCCS has reported it yet (in the police logs). Coincidence, I'm sure.
