You can't make this stuff up.
So yeah have a rally in a part of the state that you have in the bag and not in the area that will determine who wins the Commonwealth's electoral votes...the Philadelphia suburbs.
The political lawn sign wanker wagging contests homeowners love to have is just starting to sprout in my part of Chester County. On my way home from the gym...I passed 5 lawn signs.

Someone at the Idiot Rally should ask him if they can come stay at MAGA Lardo...see how that goes.Last edited by IUPNation; 09-17-2024, 09:08 PM.

I agree that a visit here is a waste of Trump’s time. This area will not determine the outcome of the election but he’s likely to get enough people that like him to show up and fill what is a relatively small arena. A made for TV moment if you will that will give the impression he has widespread support in PA. In reality, he’d be much better served by going to Erie or the Philadelphia suburbs where there might be a handful of undecided votes. Current polling shows him 3-4 points behind in the state and you aren’t going to make up ground in rural Indiana County.
Locally my biggest concern is for everyone’s safety. You’re going to have Trump supporters strolling into town and in all likelihood, a strong showing of protesters made up largely of students. It will be all hands on deck for Borough, University, and State Police, and they better bring in reinforcements from outside the area. Hopefully the Trump show can roll in and out of town without leaving a trail of destruction behind.

I could live without the mess too, protesting a political rally is a waste of time, but that never stopped anyone.
it is sort of ironic that the people likely to protest Trump are the same ones that celebrated when they got rid of the Indian mascot and banned playing Cherokee, loved “crimson express “and would ban football if they had their way. But that’s politics.

Pennsylvania is all about turn out now, not many undecided. The rallies convince supporters to actively encourage their friends and neighbors. Drive people to the polls, help people fill out their mail in ballots properly. It’s probably a good idea for trump to encourage that here.
Trumpism does not play well in Suburban Philadelphia. Sure we have Trumpanzees...but people who were once reliably Republican voters based on economic issues are turned off by the social conservatism that seeks to hurt people they know. They don't like the bullying and the threat of taking rights away. That may play well in Heilwood, Strongstown, Penn Run and Clymer...but it does not play well in Exton, West Chester, Paoli, and Malvern. Guess where more people live?
You do understand why Mastriano got a total beatdown two years ago? He ran on Trumpism...didn't run a single ad in the Philadelphia TV market and didn't bother to campaign down here. Josh Shapiro didn't have to break a sweat to get elected.
It doesn't look like Connecticut Dave is running a good campaign for Senate so far....mostly PAC run ads for him but very few of his own. They ones he does run say nothing what he stands for other than he has "honor".

The irony is that the people in the Cult in the arena this week will support funding cuts to IUP or just demand the whole place get closed down because they say all it does is teach students the fine art of 5 Year Plans and Government Control of all Production as Communists.. As you know...Dementia DonOLD Diaper said he loves loves loves the poorly educated.
IUP needs to do better.
