I'd love to see IUP have men's soccer, wrestling, etc.
End of the day they are enrollment boosters.

I get it completely. I'm just saying - the way it's written - that Football really puts the crunch on a school having more male sports.

Taking opportunities away from men in sports to offer more sports for women was the wrong way to achieve equality. That’s now how you uplift those disenfranchised.

It should not matter the student makeup because most athletes are recruited. Young women don’t wake up one day on campus and say I’m trying out for the basketball team.

Something seems off. Should schools be allowed to offer more sports to men or not?

I think if the team count is the same and reciprocal men's/women's teams get the same funding, that should suffice.

I got my ticket online for the ROCK/Iup game, but still have to go to will call to pick it up??? What is the point? At the ROCK when you buy online, you get a digital ticket with a QR code that is scanned at the gate, that is how get their attendance numbers; even the students CORE card gets scanned

But, yes, your point is very valid. They do that (scan) for basketball.

I am all for having ladies sports. I just think the solution was to add and not subtract.

At the time men's sports were dropped in favor of women's sports, there probably weren't enough women interested in team sports to be athletic enough for college sports teams, but the teams were created and filled. Men are still recruited at a higher rate, although maybe someday things will change.
