They will get better. I don't think they will crush Edinboro but I think this is a more disciplined team than in the past.

This team appears to have leadership. That element was missing from some of the recent teams. I think Massey is a positive presence. They have a number of leaders on defense.

    Massey is making Karst better.

And a now-healthy return of Hilton Ridley really changes the dynamic. While he was out teams could really just focus on Massey. Now, they have two legit (big) WR1's on the field. This will also really open up Cy Clark in the slot and hopefully the TEs (which I still think are being under-utilized).

Lost in the shuffle of doom and gloom, Karst had a phenomenal final three quarters.

The player I'd love to see back at full speed is Okungu. From what I was told, he was at about 60% last week. We really haven't seen a whole lot of him this year. However, he dominated the first half of the Ashland game before getting hurt (and then hurt again the next week).

Injury-wise, they are in pretty good shape. Tort eluded Houser would be out again this week. He should be the only one on the active roster not available.

This is a good team. They let one get away. I want to see how they bounce back mentally. This will be a test this weekend.

      Bigger the better.

Tort's record as a Homecoming guest is actually incredible. For whatever reason they thrive on it.

Which Homecoming are you go to? Alma Mater homecoming OR Employer Homecoming?? I expect over 9K for THE ROCK with the great predicted weather.

Edinboro all the way. Never missed one since birth. Unfortunately missing both games this year.

          • I can say one thing: If I was betting real money ... I wouldn't touch IUP's game tomorrow.

To its credit, IUP is usually the better team, so I imagine they do thrive on it. Ship, on the other hand, is in the doldrums, and due to this year's schedule has Kutztown as a Homecoming opponent. That does not promise success. And even Lock Haven, once a popular Homecoming opponent in the East, has grown some teeth.

I don't know what it is. Tort doesn't know what it is. IUP is just a better team away from home. Tort factually has a better overall record away from Miller Stadium than he has in it.

I attend every home game and probably 95% of road games. They don't even look like the same team in most cases.

Tort's teams are focused on the road. They start WAY better. The Tort era is infamous for no-show first quarters in Miller Stadium. We somehow just saw another one a week ago in front of the biggest crowd in that stadium since (my opinion) 2001. It's baffling. He's said the same thing. For whatever the reason, IUP gets way more 'up' to play in somebody else's stadium.

I'm pretty confident IUP will be ready to play tomorrow. Several of Tort's previous teams would have gone up there tomorrow, pi$$ed and moaned, and went through the motions. I 'think' this team is different. It has pretty good internal leadership.

But, if we see that Jim Smith prevent (nothing) defense in crunch time, well, their season will be over by 5 p.m. tomorrow.

If the home vs. away theory is true and not just a coincidence, it's up to the coaching staff to figure out why that is and do something about it.

It’s the perimeter prison fence…it makes the players sad.

I am watching the Frostburg St at Glenville St game before flipping to the IUP/Edinboro game. I rather deal with the echo than the Glenville St's AWFUL camera coverage. It is THAT bad !

I just tuned in to IUP/Edinboro and, so far, this is the worst broadcast I have seen. I need to dig out my binoculars to actually see what is going on. The broadcasters are pretty weird but I can turn that off. But if you have video it has to be better than this BS.

I have to amend my critique of the broadcasters. They are not bad, actually. Really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. But the fixed camera from the pressbox is terrible. It's like not having video.

                            • Start of 2nd quarter in Edinboro has Boro up 7-6. IUP misses the XP.
