I would say IUP hasn't had a strong kicking game in quite some time.

                • This was the perfect opponent to wake up a potentially tapped out IUP.

Gannon did its typical Gannon b.s. in warmups and early in the game. It worked. It woke up the bear.

I’m sure the 15 people in the stands will enjoy it.

I don't get how they can't find a kicker who can just bury the kickoffs. It eliminates the return threat. It eliminates heavy collisions. It eliminates all the (most) stupid penalties (like we saw today). The kickoff team is typically your lit-af guys who love to talk and push after the whistle.

Unless they are telling Andrassi to kick these short constantly ... I don't get it.

Last week at Cal on the final drive ... Kick the thing out of the end zone. He gets cute and kicks it out of bounds. That was a MASSIVE penalty in that spot.

If this coaching staff is telling him to kick it short, then they are bigger bozo's than I thought.

I've never spent time with kickers. I know Andrassi has a cannon. I've watched him all season just bomb FGs in practice, etc. The leg is there. His kickoffs, however, are all typically very high and land around the 9-12 yard line.

This has been an IUP item for years, which makes me question if it is directed. I can't remember the last IUP kicker who would just bury kickoffs.

I know when IUP played Seton Hill this year it bothered IUP that SH's kicker just smashed every kickoff and IUP had no chance at setting up returns. Tort said so himself on his show.

                              • Someone should check on IUPNation this morning. It's been a tough late October and early November for him. He might have packed up and moved to Canada.
