Just a comment on the declining level of media coverage of IUP football and basketball by the IG. While we all appreciate Matt's coverage of football, you can't read a story about IUP's football games in the IG until Monday. By Monday, it's too late, IMO. The weekend is over and it's already next week. Just because IG doesn't print on Sunday doesn't mean weekend sports stories can't be available online on Sunday.

In contrast, one can read about Lock Haven's game with Ship today in the traditional The Express (equal to the IG) and in the online therecord-online.com (see links). Couple this with the fact that LHU might have the best online broadcast of the games in the PSAC, while IUP's webcast has become a joke. It sums up to a bad look for IUP. This stuff is important, IMO.

(Also, of note is that LHU honored their 12 seniors yesterday, by my count 9 of whom are starters. However, QB Ostrowsky is not among them. I think he has another year of eligibility. He only played in 2.5 games in 2021 at SCSU. I think he was injured. Then he didn't play in any games in 2022 or 2023 at Rhode Island. I think he has a medical RS year. Same for RB Green.)

The fact the Gazette still even exists in these times is pretty much a miracle.

The Norristown Times-Herald was pretty good and aMontgomery County institution for decades and it’s basically a shell of itself. The building is gone. I think they do it out of done building that has other papers consolidated in it.

I agree. I still read the game story on Monday but as you said it's old news at that point. Everything has been discussed ad naseum on here by then. I still read it just to hear Tort's weekly coach speak.

For the IG to not do a preview for either basketball team is a pure embarrassment. Terrible look for the new Sports Editor.
