Regardless of the propoganda number they will announce, Miller will be lucky to have 1,000 humans in the bleachers. Maybe half will actually pay for their ticket.

Instead of 6,000 for a meaningful game (State Game), IUP has to put on the same event with the same fixed costs - with 5,000 less tickets sold and next to no parking or concession revenue.

Trust me when I say there are plenty of good seats available today.

Those blown losses aren't just costly to the team.
    I have no sympathy.

Congrats to Curt. That's some serious $$
My point is that many people didn't think he was a very good HC when he was at IUP. Apparently, they were wrong.

His climb through the ranks of college coaching is pretty amazing and methodical. As we know, Curt came to IUP because he had been an assistant his whole career and he wanted to be a HC. A few years at IUP, then Elon, then tremendous success at JMU, brought him to where he is now. It's a pretty impressive record.

          • Not to pounce on college kids, but the sideline reporter is a good fit.

Nice to see Adam Houser get a little early work.

                It's sad. That's a good team.

The technically improved over last year.

                  But not really.

                  • So if Hurst doesn't ***** out of the league and IUP gets that 8th win, would that have been enough to get them in over a same record Ashland?

You get out what you put in. IUP is no longer committed to football like it once was and that lack of commitment is at many levels. This is what you can expect going forward unless there’s a larger commitment made.

I would be interested to know the various levels for which IUP is less committed to football.

Also, while we all complained a lot, the team was very close. There was some bad luck involved. Everybody has injuries but IUP had a lot of injuries and had Stewart not gotten into trouble resulting in his suspension who knows how the season would have gone.

Well, the thing they need to commit to is closing games and not giving up (3) 75 yards drives in 90 seconds each.

They were awfully darn close. Maddeningly close.

The should have never been in the position to lose to the Willies. They should have rolled them.

Let's not get into the Stewart situation. That is all on Tort. He new Stewart was in trouble with the law and is an awful human but yet still put all the stakes of this team on him. Tort should've had a back up plan better than Younger/Houser.

No matter what the situation is, YOU DON'T LOSE TO EDINBORO!

BigIndians is right, you don't give up three 75 yards drives with zero resistance to lose games in the last two minutes. That's a coaching problem.

The rest of the region is glad IUP will most likely be out because they know they are a hard out unlike a couple teams that will get in. That's also on the coaching staff!

I couldn’t agree with u more. That team had awful luck. 3 losses by 8 points with 2 horrendous calls directly affecting the outcome. Literally 3 losses in about 50 total seconds. Never seen anything like it. Overcame numerous injuries and limped out of camp to go 3-0 before an awful last second loss to their heated rival. They played hard all year and cut down on all the senseless 15 yard penalties that haunted previous squads. They would have been a nice road dawg in the playoffs that’s for sure. Although 2 all stars would have been out Comedy and Bruce. Also the crowds all year and atmosphere have been very good for this level. Even yesterday….just sayin.
