Despite winning the PSAC title, IUP got the No. 2 seed in the Regional. Gannon will host. The Knights' overall resume obviously took precedent.
In the field, the PSAC got (5) teams. The MEC has (2) and the CIAA has (1).
IUP will face No. 7 seed Shepherd in Round 1. The Crimson Hawks are 2-0 vs the Rams this year, although the second win (PSAC Tournament) was very tight. IUP enters on a 9-match winning streak.

Most importantly, IUP Volleyball has the best social media accounts on campus. Not only is it fun, great content, but I didn’t know hardly anything about the team until I started following their accounts.
The matches are really entertaining if you attend in person. Those ladies are fierce. The volleyball team may be bigger than the women's basketball team (height-wise).
It's like the hockey experience (my opinion). You watch it on TV and it doesn't seem that fast. Watching it live ... whole new ballgame.
Gannon has really been the top dog. For IUP to pretty much hammer them in the PSAC title game was quite the feat. That was a 'in the zone' performance. They'll probably meet again. But, they now have the confidence after taking out their boogeyman.
Totally agree on the social media ... far and away the best on campus. It's not even close, in fact.
IUP really has a star head coach. I'm sure others have noticed. She's the perfect age, too. I don't know how long they'll be able to keep her here in D2. My guess is not much longer.

Nebraska put over 90,000 in their football stadium for a match last year. Pitt should do that. Imagine a Pitt athletic event actually selling out Acrisure, lol.

Transfer Portal Season (exports) has been a non-factor in Tortville this off-season. That's good.
On the 'incoming' front, IUP has offered several strong D2 (PSAC) transfers in the past week or so. I assume we'll hear some official news here shortly. Among them (confirmed offers), there are a couple DBs, (1) RB and (2) OL.
I also suspect they will chase a few of the Edinboro guys fairly hard. Tort is shopping for a Day 1 starter at LB.
Tort had a big junior class this year but certainly has some holes to plug due to graduation losses.
The one position, however, they have yet to offer anybody is QB. Obviously, if they are going to sign a transfer, they'd prefer him to be here to start the second semester (and most importantly go through Spring Ball). Sometimes there are offers out there that elude the Twitter world (or other social media platforms). They don't stay quiet forever. I still fully expect IUP to bring in a transfer QB. The 'pedigree' is the question mark. This has to be a salary cap issue, also. I'd guess Nico is getting a decent chunk of money. The two young kids are probably getting some, too. A 'high pedigree' import will likely cost a full ticket. So, if you keep them all that position is starting to eat up a lot of cap room.
