As for Cignetti, Jr., they couldn’t wait to run him out of Pitt but name the last beloved OC in Pittsburgh at any level. It’s an extremely difficult job and a guy may call the best play for a given situation only to watch a player run a wrong route, miss an assignment, etc., and it’s the OC’s fault. I didn’t see enough Pitt games to have an opinion but he certainly has a ton of experience and football is usually pretty good in this town when a Cignetti is involved.

Just about every human in that stadium has been blamed for an entire coaching staff being unaware of the timeout count. Despite, of course, the entire home side screaming they were out of timeouts.
It's become a running joke on here - and, without question, part of Tort's legacy.
