Oh wow parents went there with the one kid…If he was hyphenated and he was Mason Dixon-Line that would have been cool.

I've seen him play a few times. He's a nice pickup.

I think the Latrobe boys came as a package deal. The OL brother didn't seem like a D2 guy early in the process. He was getting a lot of looks from up above.

They only signed (7) from the WPIAL. Not saying that's good or bad. Tort had mentioned they were going to go outside PA some this year. I recall his past two classes were almost exclusively all PA kids.

You can read their bio's online if you so choose. They are all All-This and All-That.

Tort can recruit. There's no denying that part.

I wouldn't be shocked if a straggler or two appears in the coming days.

I know they are not done shopping in the Portal. I suspect they add several more after Spring Ball. I suspect they will add 1-2 OL and also a RB. If Nico leaves, they may even add another depth QB. I hope he stays.

              Heard he's a North-South runner. Sorry.

He’s actually a good player from a decent program.

The Coleman kid is a future star. Non portal days sure fire D1 kid. Good HS program and elite runner.

South Park kid is very intriguing to say the least. Looks like a young James Suber body wise. At the D2 level with that size just a bit a speed and he could contribute right off the bat.

I agree. I think he got overlooked by some because of the RB at Steel Valley. South Park also isn't a known football product even in the WPIAL and most big schools hit the Central Catholic-NA-Pine Richland triad plus Aliquippa and Central Valley before heading out of town.

James Suber -- in IUP historical conversations -- doesn't get the love he deserves. He was a monster.

                        • I'm not a recruiting expert but the class looks sort of run of the mill to me. As IUPbigINDIANS pointed out there were expectations of a smaller class this year. It looks to me, though, that they got some good RB's and WR's. The linemen no matter what their HS credentials look like, you really don't know how they will develop. The prize of the class to me looks like the kicker from North Schuylkill. He has hit FG's over 50 yards with some distance to spare. And he seems accurate.

Saw that as well. IUP and SRU both picked up really impressive kickers.

Well, no matter what anybody says ... nobody knows.

The NFL teams spend millions on scouting and research and still miss constantly.

If half your class makes it to Senior Day ... it was an outstanding class.

Can he put it past the 10-yard-line on kickoffs?

It's long been my dream for IUP to have a kicker who can simply bury the kickoff. It eliminates the threat of return. It eliminates the #lit guys from committing stupid penalties. It also is annoying for the other team to get no return opportunities.

This sounds simple in the college game but IUP hasn't had a kicker consistently bury kickoffs in forever.
