1981. Was Lock Haven's coach even born yet?

This is a HEAVY transfer team. That said, I think they've done a great job in finding said transfers. They have a lot of older players -- senior and grad imports. So, those guys have played a lot of college football - just not at Lock Haven (and not together).

They are collectively way faster than Ashland, and similar-sized up front. They have really big WRs. DBs are all seniors and Tort said it may be the best group in the PSAC.

The weakness to all these heavy transfer teams is always adversity. They can look great when things are going good. How will they look when things aren't going well?

Tort can't have one of his infamous slow starts. This LH team is going to be sky-high for this game. IUP needs to pop the balloon early. Let's see how LH plays when the sh!t hits the fan. That's typically the weak spot of teams full of one-year guys.

I had to look up a photo of it. It's been a very long time since I was there and all these stadiums start to blend together after so many years.

The photos brought it back quickly. Yes, seating is extremely limited at Lock Haven. The last time I was there was probably in the early 00s. I recall IUP travelled pretty well and probably had 60% of the crowd. Parking (if you don't have a pass) is also a major headache up there as I recall.

The bleachers will fill up quick. I guess everybody else will stand along the fence (which sucks). Truth be told it's a better game to watch on the PSAC Network.

If you're making the trip, get there real early or else you'll be standing the whole game.

I hope IUP can beat down Lock Haven like the beat down that was administered last night from 9-11pm on Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

    :-)

I was already thinking that. Last time I was there LH stunk and it was still cramped in there.

I can't recall ... is there a lot of standing area (with a view of the field)?

Half of Indiana should show up.

    Forgot to include above:

Randy Washington had surgery on his hand yesterday. Tort said he may return in a couple weeks.

I don't know exactly what his role was going to be but he was certainly going to see the field.

He also said Monaco has returned to practice but isn't ready to play yet. He said he was injured on Day 3 of camp.

He didn't say it, but eluded that Williams and Towler are both 1-2 weeks away from returning.

So, the Calvary is coming. They just need to get past this weekend.

    So, per The Tort Show:

    Williams - out again
    Towler - out again
    Monaco - out again
    Penn - out again

Isaiah Houser - not mentioned / didn't play last week

They luckily went through a whole game without losing anybody. I'd love to see these practices. I've never seen a program lose more players in practice than this team has so far this year. Say a prayer they get through Wrestlemania today and tomorrow.

What's the deal with Towler and Williams? They need them back.

    How close is Penn?

I'd guess Santos is pretty close. It seemed like they used him in a 'shake off the rust' role last week. He appeared to be moving around pretty well.

    Also, where was Isaiah Houser?

    I sure hope so.

It also sounds like IUP will be much healthier for Game 2. They were obviously missing some key players last week.
