Today the bean counters get to witness what blowing those games mean to the bottom line. Add to it, the missed opportunity to host a playoff game.
Regardless of the propoganda number they will announce, Miller will be lucky to have 1,000 humans in the bleachers. Maybe half will actually pay for their ticket.
Instead of 6,000 for a meaningful game (State Game), IUP has to put on the same event with the same fixed costs - with 5,000 less tickets sold and next to no parking or concession revenue.
Trust me when I say there are plenty of good seats available today.
Those blown losses aren't just costly to the team.

Congrats to Curt. That's some serious $$

I wasn't trying to say anything bad about Shippensburg.
It was more a knock on how IUP has played all year and the horrible offensive starts Team Tort has had nearly every week.
This game Saturday ... wouldn't shock me at all for IUP to score 3 points in the first half but then flip the switch and score 28 in the third quarter.

I'll say this ... the 'Valley Girls' got more attention than any student announcers at IUP in forever.
That said, Tort and the Valley Girls have one last dance this Saturday.
Two weeks to prepare for Shippensburg.
IUP's had perhaps the worst first half offense in school history this year. So, I fully suspect this will be a game at halftime. IUP should then blast them in the second half.

Its possible that there is no one interested in doing it. Those girls stepped up with football because no one else was willing. Back in the day when I was at IUP I got a job at the Penn because they had so few students involved they literally put an ad in their own paper asking for people to come work there.

It's pretty baffling your women's basketball team can host a tip-off weekend and you have no announcers. It's not like they didn't have months to figure this out.
The women's team is going to be the show this year. Joe's team (at best) may finish .500
