  • NATIONAL SIGNING DAY 2/2/22...

We've seen a lot of "commits" so it will be interesting to see how many are followed by a signed NLI after 7AM tomorrow.

Just remember, every class is superb today. They are all full of can't-miss prospects. All-State this. All-State that.

And, you'll be lucky to still have half of them a year from now.

It's a fun day. Most teams probably pray 1/3 of their class today walks on Senior Day.

Especially with that Transfer Portal singing it's Siren song.

Most years I agree. I feel with the transfer portal and the effects from the extra Covid year is really opening up an opportunity for some teams to grab some guys that have fallen through the cracks. Could be an interesting talent infusion.

It's a lot tougher to get an offer right now for the very reason of the portal and the extra year. The guys who are signing now are more likely next-level players who will be around for the duration -- including guys who might have received FCS offers in 2019 but top out with the PSAC now.

              So true.

And from start to finish, maybe 4-5 of these kids start and leave together.

A lot more Eastern PA heavy than in recent years. I counted at least 11 recruits from Districts 1/3/12 (Philadelphia/Lehigh Valley/Reading areas). I seem to recall Cal recruiting heavily into Ohio - particularly the Columbus area - under Kellar.

Shippensburg. 1. Joey McCracken is a good get. 2. I cannot fathom why the kicking Luther brothers would want to land here unless they want to battle each other for the punting job.

And perhaps most important, I did not see Brycen Mussina on the early 2022 roster.

I was told that Tyler Luther left IUP and came to Ship to play WR. Not sure why he's listed as WR/K, unless he's going to try both.

Edinboro signs 41. Lots of linemen. Lots of defense. Lots of Florida.

How does Edinboro pull recruits from Florida? Do they have a connection?

Indirect. The DC's father and brother live in Florida and the brother is a high school coach.
