True. LHU will never be able to dig out of the hole they are in. They will never be able to compete with such Eastern Division football powerhouses like Bloom, ESU, Millersville, Ship. It's a pipe dream.Originally posted by Iupgh View Post

Well, they haven't been able to compete with the schools you name, or much of anyone else, for the past 30 years or so. Will this time be different? That remains to be seen.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post

Oh its roughly 40 years. They used to be good for an upset every once in a while. Unfortunately, if this coach is the least bit successful, he's going to jump ship and the cycle starts over.Originally posted by Ship69 View Post

I root for the underdog (unless they are playing my team). There is nobody more underdog than LHU football.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post

HC Fisher caught lightening in a bottle in 1979. It wasn't expected and hasn't been close since, but who knows, maybe lighting strikes twice and they get another championship soon. That is a weak list of powerhouses btw.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post

Lock Haven vs Cheyney for the 1979 State Game was Bizarro World.Originally posted by Bart View Post

Since he left out Shepherd and Kutztown, I think it was an attempt at sarcasm.Originally posted by Bart View Post

Just goes to show that “commitments” don’t mean anything until the pen actually hits the paper. I don’t blame guys for changing their mind since teams regularly show they’re not committed to the “student-athletes” and coaches come and go too.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

Often times it's as simple as a better offer coming along. Money and program prestige talks.Originally posted by TheBigCat2192 View Post
