I don't know where he could go but I think his profile has taken a leap upward after his 3rd straight conference championship and lofty national ranking.
Think back to when Assumption played at IUP in 2017.
Their HC that day was Bob Chesney (from Kulpmont, PA).
He got Assumption rocking and rolling and then left for Holy Cross. His next job was replacing Curt Cignetti at James Madison.
Chesney is now one of the hotter names in the market -- even loosely being linked to the JoePa job.
So ... strike while it's hot. It doesn't last forever.

I'm not sure. I'm curious to see if Battaglia sticks around or if he uses LHU's first winning season in decades to try and catch on elsewhere, even if it's as a coordinator at a higher level ala Mulrooney.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post
Yes! I forgot about that one.
Also, was Lock Haven ever finalized?“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

This isn’t PSAC news but Eastern New Mexico is allegedly on the verge of hiring Art Briles of Baylor fame/infamy. I thought he was done with US coaching forever but I guess someone thinks it’s worth dragging the 69 year old Briles back to the sidelines.“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

Just my thoughts, but it could be a good opportunity for him. I don’t know much about the school, but they don’t seem to have a winning mentality. I wish him the best.

It is beyond amazing a university President would sign off on hiring him.Originally posted by Tdobson View Post

Maybe he'll get Sandusky to be his D-Coordinator.

Maybe he has family in Buckhannon or nearby in Upshur County. I can’t think of another reason for a coach with some past success to take that job.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View PostFormer California (and most recently Glenville State) head coach Mike Kellar has been hired by West Virginia Wesleyan.
He's been on a strange path. This next stint, however, may be the most difficult job in D2 football.“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

Sounds like he just needed a job.
Needless to say his work is cut out for him.

Yeah and honestly, that's probably as good of a hire as Wesleyan could have made. Kellar is a very good coach.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post
