Two freshman kickers and one mid year transfer. Also looking at possibly a handful of May OL/DL transfers they're working on, and bringing in some more recruiting visits tomorrow. They are still recruiting and always looking.

They think one of 3 in-house QBs will surface as the starter next year, but after spring ball they will know if they need to go to find somebody in the portal for a year or two.

LBs everyone is back. WR in house in a really strong group with depth and size; they may not be Griffin-Batchler type playmakers but bigger and longer. In-coming recruits look good too and were attracted by last years passing success.

RBs will have Bo Sheptock showing up as a mid year player after committing last year.

Spring game is first Friday in April as of now.

It was during the halftime BU radio broadcast of the men's basketball game, which is different than the video broadcast. I don't know if BU saves those on the radio website.

I couldn’t find any sort of archive at the WHSK link. God forbid someone at the radio station or the athletic department take the time and effort to slice that audio out and upload/post/whatever it elsewhere, so that more football fans than the ~20 who tune into the radio broadcast of the garbage basketball team’s game might hear it.

I learned about 1994 that the first men's basketball game after National Signing Day, Doyle will interview the football HC. Pencil it in for next year so you can be fan #21 and then you can turn off the basketball game.

A wr and rb signed today and added to the recruiting roster.

          • Added a transfer DL from Cornell: Mason Yacovelli 6-2 278

Played quite a bit as a freshman and sophomore, but was injured his junior year and didn't play his senior year. May Cornell grad with 2 years of eligibility
"Earned first-team all-league honors on both the offensive and defensive lines at Archbishop Wood HS ... served as team captain as a senior ... three-year starter ... helped team to a state title as a sophomore."

That's kinda cool. Hey, might as well make some money on stuff that's just taking up space.

It's very cool, I'd have a $60 order with Shepherd if they did the same thing immediately.

Interesting idea, although if I was buying a season, I’d prefer a DVD set instead of just a flash drive. I wonder if there was any thought given to selling DVD sets or a combo pack (DVDs + flash drive) at a higher price for those who would be willing to pay it.

                    • "Show your kids and grandkids how football has evolved". Rather presumptuous for Bloom to say such a thing

                      • Bloom held their spring game yesterday. Decent turnout in the stands and was an enjoyable experience all around. Will be very interesting to see which QB emerges as the guy in the fall. That will be one of the keys to the season obviously. Each candidate did some good things and each seems to bring a little something different to the table. It looks like they finally have a couple of legit kickers too!! That was really encouraging to see as the lack of a kicking game cost them several games last season. Bloomsburg has a lot of talented athletes/players and I think their defense will need to carry the load early on while the offense gets itself sorted out. They will be on the younger side this season but I think they’ll have a good chance to be a good team before it’s all said and done.

If you can remember, which QBs played? I couldn’t find a write up about the game on the BU site or anywhere else online. Did any of them stand out or were they all about the same?

                          • There's a viral video going around of a brawl in Bloomsburg. Not a great look - not for the sake of the brawl, but the punching and kicking is so bad it almost looks staged.

That was brutal, not in the sense of people being bloodied, but in the sense that most of the “fighters” in the big group seemed like they had never even heard of a punch, let alone thrown one. Hopefully no one on the football team was involved because the last thing Sheptock needs with his W-L record is a disciplinary controversy.
