I meant what was the point of deleting it.

      Gotcha.

Seems silly and unnecessary. Also, I think if there was a particular post that was offensive an admin could delete it. Getting rid of an entire thread is curious.

        It was probably just easier.

It was also one of the largest threads on the entire site so perhaps deleting it for whatever reason also cleared some memory space.

It won’t take us long to restore it as one of the biggest threads.

The 4 year old “Donald J Trump Thread” also got deleted in the OT. I created a new one with a new and improve thread title.

Former IUP and (most recently) Ferris State DE Tyrone Fowler is in the transfer portal.

He should land at a D1. One year left.

Why would he leave a program that is a powerhouse?

Because it's still D2 (and with that the negative stereotype that comes with it).

They all want that D1 tag.

                    Just my guess.

He has the measurables and resume. He'll have a busy phone.

Odds are against it being a successful finish for him. More likely a late injury causes a school to try and get him for depth purposes. Then play special teams and in blowouts on defense. Crappy way to finish your career. Maybe he's the outlier that defies that expectation, I wouldn't bet on it though.

If you're talking about Alabama or LSU, yeah, I get it.

But in the vast sea of D1, there are lots of places he could play immediately.

Hell, the 'D1' team he lands on could be worse than the team he left.

I’m not sure he’s going to be that coveted above D2, unless it’s as you say, possibly a lesser team than he’s on.

The resume isn’t exceptional. This will be his third school. Last year he had around 3 tackles per game, which isn’t bad, but certainly not dominant. We’ll see how it goes for him. I’m curious why he’s leaving unless it’s about projected playing time this fall.

                            Watch him go to Backstabberhurst.

I don't think he would do that. He could end up back at FSU. Just because he entered the portal doesn't mean he finds a new home. He has some baggage from his IUP days and he didn't perform that great for Ferris State. Maybe he goes to WCU, closer to home. Or SRU, Cal. Lock Haven.

I'm not sure how high you've set the bar, but he led the national champs in sacks and was named all-conference in his one season at Ferris.
