*Co-Champions LOLOriginally posted by IUPNation View PostThe defending PSAC West champions have been picked to do it again.
IUP has been selected as the favorite in the 2026 PSAC West Preseason Poll after capturing the division title last season. The Crimson Hawks enter the new campaign with high expectations as they look to return to the PSAC Championship Game and make another run at the NCAA Division II playoffs.
The 2026 season kicks off Sept. 3 as IUP opens the year on the road at Ashland.

It’s the oddest, most maddening thing ever. I’m already wondering what’s going to happen this year.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View PostWell, I personally feel much more confident when IUP plays on the road. Sounds odd, but Tort's teams are way more focused away from Miller.
Some (most) of his teams WTF moments have come in Indiana.

IUP has the entire pre-season camp to prepare for Ashland. Then they will have extra days to prepare for WCU.Originally posted by CUlater View Post
dude, bro, we learned reading comprehension isn't at the top of the list for ya huh. That's ok little buddy, we'll agree the road trip to a team coming off back to back 4 win seasons is a tough one, you can have it. Expectations must be pretty low when your worried about a team that got their doors blown off by Ship...
Is arriving the day before more of a disadvantage than taking the bus ride to closer venues the morning of the game? I don't know.

Please do, dude thinks at Ashland a big time fully funded program and then across the state to play a Saturday night game at West Chester is an easy start. SMH. But hey Clarion opens against maybe the worst team in D2 football. Total waste of time.

Only ever went to one game at West Chester when I was still a college student in the mid-60s. Ship organized a couple of buses to go to the game. We lost (West Chester was usually the league power in those days) a fairly entertaining game and then had a group of town kids heave rocks at our buses as we pulled away. There weren't many dull moments in the 60s.Originally posted by IUPNation View Post
FYI…West Chester has two hotels downtown now if you are making the trip to beautiful Chester County.

I'd love to see IUP send a bus (or two) to each of the first two games.
Would there be interest? Not sure. One way to find out.
It's amazing what having fans with you on the road can do to a team. Neither is a short trip. Perhaps this would motivate some to go.

I can create a Clarion thread if you like…or you can…Originally posted by CUlater View PostPosting this here because we always end up back here anyway so why not. something i stumbled upon last year... Clarion posts really nice, in depth game previews each week (usually every Wednesday) which breaks down the players, statistics to date, the matchup, ect which also always includes the probable starters and 2 deep for the week. They used to post the 2 deep for the opponent as well that has fallen off which led to look around a bit. It seems like Clarion, IUP, Rock are the only teams in the west that still post an actual game preview each week which really surprised me. Just curious if anyone else has noticed the same or maybe i haven't been looking in the right places. I feel like this is something that really adds to the experience of the players and the fans...disappointing to see so few teams still doing it.

They can be pretty comical - especially early in the season.Originally posted by Matt Burglund View Post
Something just to keep in mind is that there is no mandate from the PSAC or D2 that the two-deeps be accurate. There are some teams that have used the same two-deep every week, even when it's known that a player listed on the two-deep is hurt.

Gives everyone something to look forward to mid week and some insight into the matchup.
