I had a PSAC school employee ask around for my identity, found my contact info, called me at home to berate me and tell me they're going to get me fired, then file a complaint with HR at my employer. Tell me who overreacted.

I don't lie on here. I don't share protected information. I believe I'm pretty fair to all on here. But alas, doxxing and cancel culture if you offend.

I was off the grid for a while. Where would a PSAC employee ask around for the identify for a poster on the D2football message board? What kind of HR complaint could they have filed?

Clearly I said something that infuriated an AD who then went searching for my personal contact information so they could call and berate me. Multiple PSAC AD's have my phone number as do a couple current and former PSAC head coaches. Its possible one of them gave it away. The HR complaint was "anonymous" but the only person I heard from was that AD so who knows.

Yeah, I say quite a bit on here but I'm not a BSer. I make it clear if I'm posting conjecture. I sure has heck don't share protected/confidential information. I do my best to keep my criticism to actions/decisions/performance not attacking character of those we discuss (there was some playful name calling 20 years ago). That was the official accusation - that I was spreading confidential information, lies and misinformation on here to defame others, which I proved to be untrue. Now its clear my employer knows who I am on here and I assume folks take extra looks at what I say. There are a few other PASSHE employees on here, so I advise them to tread lightly. I was fortunate to have full, immediate support of my superiors at my employer.

For the most part, the regulars on this board have been respectful and it has been a place for good discussion. It’s one of just a few places I engage with people. Bigger picture though, I’m to the point where social media could go away and I’d be fine with it. I’ve been dealing with attacks on the organization I work for over the last week that are complete fabrications that one idiot started, and it was like a signal to the other idiots to pile on and it just spirals out of control. The problem is, you can’t reason with fools, but they all have an avenue for saying what they want thanks to social media.

It’s sad that someone would go out of their way to make life difficult on you for something you said that he/she didn’t like, but this is the world we live in now.
