Our teams should play 'at least' two Thursday night games each.

        It's good for the gate.

With very few exceptions, PSAC attendance is terrible (and declining).

We have a lot of suitcase schools.

Once classes get into full swing the Thursday night games basically stop. My guess would be that there’s a desire to limit missed class, test, or study time for the players as they get deeper into the semester and start having regular tests or group projects. I’m more curious to see how many of our schools opt to schedule, or re-schedule, their Halloween games as night games. It’s a rare chance to maybe, possibly have a raucous home crowd just by nature of the holiday, if you steer into it a bit, but I’ve already seen at least three schools set for afternoon kicks.

Halloween night is a major party night. I don't think the students would give two craps about a football game.

I like the notion but just don't see it being successful.

ESU will open at Seton Hill on 8/27. They will travel to Pace on 9/4. They Host Slippery Rock on the 12th. They have a bye on the 19th. They finish September against Lackawanna.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting an FBS style 8pm prime time kick. But I think it’s kinda stupid for Gannon to be hosting a nooner against IUP, one of the best teams on their schedule. At least try a 3pm kick so that everyone’s recovered from the first round of Halloween Eve on Friday night. Treat it like a Halloween event and let the kids come in costume (within reasonable limits, no full-on stripper outfits or mock weapons). Maybe even have a little costume contest with a giveaway of [$X] gift card to university dining or the university store.

I think The Home Office In Lock Haven could set up the schedule for one to two weeks of Thursday games in Weeks 2 and 3.

To offset any concerns of players not being in class....it would have to be divisional play, those weeks and teams close to each other for same day travel, and not crossovers.

I personally hate the crossovers being Weeks 2 and 3. I would prefer them scattered through the season.

So...say they keep the Thursday September games.

IUP would be at Ashland in Week 1..then their games with Seton Hill and Clarion (the two west schools closest to IUP) get moved to Weeks 2 and 3 on the Thursday night at The Cig. Then you could close out September with the first cross over...with a trip to West Chester.

It's not hard to do. Maybe the new commissioner will be more creative?

The people with the most influence over game times don't want to work Thursday nights, Halloween nights, or really any nights. That's why the games kick off at Noon.

That was a Thursday game inn2017 it was a packed house and people looked excited. It looked a lot more fun than any of the lame game day experiences I’ve been to at East Dennyburg.

                            What proof did you want?

Also you will notice the video board wasn’t scrolling an antagonistic message to the visitors.
