  • Bowie State Bulldogs 2020 Schedule

There's no telling what will ultimately happen, but Bowie's schedule is set nonetheless.

    https://bsubulldogs.com/sports/football/schedule
    1. 9/5 @ New Haven
    2. 9/12 Saginaw Valley State
    3. 9/19 @ Texas A&M Commerce
    4. 9/26 @ Livingstone
    5. 10/3 Johnson C. Smith *HOMECOMING*
    6. 10/10 @ Chowan
    7. 10/17 Virginia State
    8. 10/24 @ Virginia Union
    9. 10/31 @ Lincoln
    10. 11/7 Elizabeth City State

Glad to see that Bowie has three legit out of conference game scheduled. They've been playing a lot of non-conference games against CIAA South teams the last couple of seasons. With that said, they're taking road trips to New England and Texas (sheesh!). Somehow they managed to get a GLIAC school to come out to Maryland.

Good job with getting those 3 true OOC games.

And all three are from different super regions. When's the last time a school played teams from every SR in the regular season?

CIAA is in SR2. NE10 is in SR1. Which regions are the LSC and GLIAC in?

True. You'd think it would be easier for CIAA teams to get true OOC games given the geographic footprint it shares with other D2 conferences. Even with FCS and D3 schools.

Wow. Now I'm genuinely interested in knowing when was the last time that was pulled off in the regular season.

Turns out it's happened more recently than I thought. Southwest Baptist did it last year. Besides their GLVC schedule (SR3), they played Kentucky Wesleyan (SR1), Central State (SR2), and Central Washington (SR4). Granted, two of those are geographical outliers from their SR.

Central State and St. Joseph's (IN) 2007

Happened more often in the days of the GLFC which at times was split into two regions.

Good thing you answered that here. I was pondering making a thread in the general forum about that topic. No need now lol
