  • Where is Shorter Football headed??

    The losing streak is 47 in a row. Allen appears the only shot to end it. But, beyond that possible victory, where are they headed as a program?

      I noticed they weren't in the first regional rankings that were released.
      * 2022 BACK 2 BACK GSC CHAMPIONS and D2 FINAL 4
      * 2021 GSC CHAMPIONS
      * 2019 D2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
      * 2017 D2 NATIONAL RUNNER-UP

        WOW,
        Have you ever considered a career with the FBI?
        You seem to have this uncanny insight into the obvious.

                  Money may very well be an issue, but they are in a decent recruiting area. Rome High School recently won a state championship. Cedartown typically has very good teams as do several others in surrounding counties, and they aren't far from metro-Atlanta.

                    Exactly, as a private school their cost is the same for in-state and out of state. Therefore, they can recruit Georgia and the rest of the Southeast. Seems like you can find a couple of good players in that area.

                        Money may be an issue, but maybe from the standpoint of football not getting adequate funding. I've always heard Shorter has some wealthy benefactors.

                          I was referring more to the recruiting competition. Especially with West GA. There are several programs in the upper part of GA and TN.
