  • WHERE DOES COACH BELL LAND?

I know he'll land on his feet somewhere. Anybody have info, theory?

I would love to have him back at VSU but that will never happen.

Kerwin got fired as well? That kinda surprises me. I thought his offense at Valdosta would be pretty good at a higher level.

Don't think he had the type of players needed for his offense. It would have taken a couple of years for that to happen.

Hell me to or his son to call plays. Goff offense is average

I doubt Bell's temperament would go over well at Mercer. The LR coach would be an excellent fit there though.

                  Gotta agree on both counts.

Dean might would be a pretty good fit (though his last foray into FCS didn't go so well (they're still waiting on Erk to get back in Statesboro)).

I wonder if that job would interest Hatcher. Would be back in his hometown.

Hatcher has been asked to "go home" many times.

About the only way Mercer would allow Bell on their sidelines is if he wore a Hannibal Leckter(sp) mask.

Bell knew he didn't have the right players for his offense. before the season started he tried to recruit Roland Rivers (former blazer qb) from SRU to come down.

Obviously, either your lip reading skills need honing, or you've never actually seen Coach on the sidelines. If you can access some old video, also take note of the
dead grass around him where he has spit.

Great coach, but maybe not in keeping with Mercer's M.O.
