The guy wins games, big time, but he's a disaster otherwise. The story of the two families when was at Hoover is well known, but he was fired in part from Colquitt County over allegations of handing out prescription pain killers to players and charging personal expenses to school accounts.

Interesting. Just read about it on AL.com. It's a new virtual school and they wouldn't play AL HS football. They are hoping it will be like IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.

How many academies are there like this? I would think that they would have a hard time filling a schedule because no HS would play them.

United States Sports Academy is a totally different school. It is located in Daphne.

Yeah, I used to be the Financial Aid Director at USSA in Daphne.

This is the site for this startup in Coosada.

I don't know...... I searched the website for a list of faculty and could not find one. Who are the faculty? What are their qualifications?

And then offering masters and doctorate degrees?

                    Seems suspicious to me........

USSA gives the masters and doctorate degrees. It is in Daphne is has been a legit school for many years. The USA Academy is the new start up school near Prattville.

                        You're confusing two separate entities.

The United States Sports Academy is in Daphne, AL right across the bay from Mobile and grants degrees - mainly via distance learning - to students, generally former athletes. Mike Leach has a Master's of Sports Science in Sports Coaching from there.

The other is a brand new "school" that little is known about in central AL near Montgomery. I provided a link to their skeleton website above.

Any news yet on investigation of West Florida football players involved with sexually assaulting some LR cheerleaders during. the game. It was turned over to the NCAA a few weeks back. Several classless actions after the game as well.
