  • Propst to Valdosta HS

Rush Propst, the former Hoover High and Colquitt, Ga., head coach, was approved Tuesday night as the new head coach at tradition-rich Valdosta (Ga.).

    Wow.
Georgias Valdosta High School, a longtime football powerhouse, is awash in a scandal involving race, funny money, allegations of improper recruiting and a one-armed booster named Nub.

Pretty good article, but disheartening as well. I was a close friend of Rodemaker and his wife in college. He's a great guy and certainly not deserving of this craziness. Propst is an awesome coach, but the baggage you inherit when hiring him is insane -- he wins, but at what cost? By the way, Rodemaker's son is the back-up QB at FSU....

Yeah, seems some of these problems pre-date any Propst idiocy. But, he was certainly not the coach to bring in after all of that if they truly wanted to move forward with less drama.

Propst was definitely not who they should have hired! Yikes!!

What a horrible situation all the way around and you certainly have to feel bad for Rodemaker.
In the wake of the latest Rush Propst controversy, the Georgia High School has fined Valdosta High School $5,000 and banned the football team from the 2021 playoffs.

Propst, who just finished his first year at Valdosta, was placed on administrative leave on March 9
