Just happened upon the Idaho Vandals website and former Argo QB and Alumni Mike Beaudry was named the starter and threw a touchdown pass in the final minute to defeat #12 Eastern Washington in his first game. Beaudry finished 22-45, 296 YDS with 2 TD's and 1 INT. He also started the second game a loss to UC Davis in which he was 27-37 for 236 with 1 TD and 2 INT. He was also the Vandals leading rusher with 8 carries for 51 yards and 1 TD. Beaudry did not start the third game and no reason was given in the game recap.

I saw another report about third game and Vandal team hit hard with COVID prior to game. Beaudry one of many who missed game for that reason and that is why they went with two backups in the game.

Ok, I was hoping he didn't get injured again. When he is healthy he is a pretty good QB. I watched some highlights of the second game on the Idaho twitter page and he made some impressive scrambles, who knew he could run like that. Wish him well and hopefully he'll be back this weekend. Their games can be seen on PlutoTv.

We just picked up a big graduate transfer, 6'4 300lbs former Kentucky DL Ja'Quize Cross which is a great addition to our already very talented defense. Does anyone have an update on Cornel Jones? I saw he was in a terrible accident and he looked in pretty bad shape in a hospital picture I saw. Just wondering most importantly how he was doing and also wondered if his career was over.

With all due respect, you don't have the crown to hand over. We already have it. :)

On paper the Argos are loaded, but as we all know the games aren't played on paper. The one thing that is certain in the GSC is that nothing is certain, too many good teams to hand anyone anything. I'm guessing it will be like most years, a favorite will falter and not make the playoffs and a middle of the road team will surprise the rest of the league and challenge for a playoff spot. That being said I can't wait for this season, I think Coach Shinnick has really challenged the kids with an extremely tough schedule so time will tell what that November 13th game will be for. Hopefully it's for the GSC Championship and a first round bye.

Location, location, location, you can't emphasize that enough. It certainly does help bring D1 talent to a D2 school, especially those originally from Florida and those who want a chance to win a championship. Pensacola Beach is regarded as one of the best beaches in not only the US but the world and what 18-24 year old doesn't love the scenery at the beach.. Lets face it there are only a few schools in D1 that have a realistic chance to win the Natty, the chances are much better in D2, whether it is UWF, VSU, or any of the other former or future Champions.

                          Go Argos!
