GSC Baseball Champs. DSU

DSU baseball won their 15th GSC championship #15 head coach Mike Kinnison ! It was an unusual conference! our two wins were by a 10 run rule and out championship game was over WF. Our pitcher, Higgins, had a 2 hits and no run game over WF. Valdosta kept coming back and were the scrappiest team. Waiting on who will host the regionals!
The new site in Oxford is awesome! Within 5 minutes of motels and food. The park is large, field is in great conditions and the staff is helpful and friendly! We have one more year in the contract. I understand they are working to extend the contract

DSU is the #2 seed and will host the South Region #2 bracket. DSU is joined by Embry-Riddle, Eckerd and Valdosta St.

Tampa is the #1 seed and will host the South Region #1 bracket. They will be joined by West Florida, Nova-Southeastern, and Spring Hill.

Not saying the site cost us the games at all, because we just didn't play well enough. Way too many errors and too many free passes (but then maybe we don't make those in our park, sleeping in our own beds, etc.) My reason for posting is to ***** about this Super Regional, Regional, whatever, always going to Tampa. Send there asses to us for a change. I mean they lose two of their last three regular season games and don't budge from the top seed in the region. Makes no sense. It's like the NCAA just wasn't going to allow for the possibility of DSU hosting the Super or make Tampa travel at all. What does somebody at Tampa, of all places, have on the NCAA?

Have noticed over the years that the SSC schools seem to get the nod in most the spring sports playoffs.
