Valdosta State at Mississippi College

The Valdosta State defense gave up 600 yards rushing to MC last year. Gave up 417 yards rushing to Delta last week. Will find out a lot this week about how stout we are in the interior at DL and LB.

VSU is also only only averaging 141 yards rushing per game (after averaging just under 250 a game over the last 4 years).
Hope VSU can establish a solid ground game and control the ball well enough to keep the MC offense off the field.

VSU’s defense also gave up 17 ppg through the first 4 games but has given up 85 points in the last 2 (42.5 average). Gave up 36 against Chowan.

Blazers are 5-1 but the wins are against lesser competition.
Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

I haven't figured MC out this year, but don't feel like they are quite the team they were last year. I doubt they have the line DSU had. Their run defense is not that great either so maybe we can run the ball.
