  • New GSC hybrid football schedules with CC

All of the GSC football 2025 schedules show that each team will play a minimum of at least 3 Conference Carolina teams, which matches the same number of GSC match-ups. I forsee that number of CC match-ups increasing in the coming years unless changes are made by either conference.

I'm glad it appears to be working out pretty well for the teams.

Been a long time fan of 2 of the GSC schools, and my hope is that they can be successful (with a complete schedule) and remain as a part of D2 Football.

Looks like they're doing just fine, as was established in the other thread you started on this topic, along with a more recent thread started by someone else.

If I were an SAC fan, I'd be more concerned with school closings similar to what Limestone is going through, as 7 other schools in the SAC have less that 2K in enrollment.

Not really worried about that at all, the other schools are financially solid. Everything's fine. It's not like my favorite football program was looking for it's first winning season in this decade. Now that would be something to worry about.

Yes, it’s been a wild ride since UNA was in the 2016 D2 title game. But, it doesn’t affect me either way. I graduated in 1996. Are you a CN fan? Some tell me you’re not but I love what Coach Ingram has done there. If UNA’s current coach doesn’t get it together, maybe Coach I. would want to return to his alma mater.

I think the threat of a school, or football program, closing down is far more worrisome than not having a winning football program.
I'd rather root for a losing program than no program at all.

I'm in agreement 100%. I highly respect DSU, and my hopes is that it not only survives the tough times but flourishes into the future for at least decades to come.

The Statesmen's strong tradition in football deserves the admiration it receives from myself and others who appreciate Division 2 Football. I wish the program nothing but the best.

The point of my previous response went right over your head.

Could be, but I still hope you have a program to pull for in the future. It seems as though the remaining SAC schools are on pretty firm footing.

                      I'm beginning to think you're just a passive-aggressive/condescending...person.

Is there still talk of MS closing/consolidating schools?

Yes, no doubt about it, Coach Ingram is doing a great job with Carson Newman 👍. He's a winner and 100% loves to win!! He's brought a new sense of discipline and respect to the Eagles. Also, I hear that he and his family really like the area a lot and have settled in nicely, which is great.
