GSC Football waiver for 2025-2026 academic year

The NCAA granted GSC football with a waiver for the 2025-2026 academic year as an existing conference, with the hopes that moves would be made to add additional schools to bring it up to the minimum number of members as required by the NCAA.

This limited time waiver gives the GSC the opportunity for it's top team to automatically qualify for the 2025 playoffs.

After this waiver expires, will the NCAA no longer recognize the GSC as a football conference, and will the football schools transition into being recognized as Independent programs?

I'm not sure if it's possible or feasible for a resolution to come together quickly enough, but I would hope that those in guiding the GSC are proactive in trying to save GSC football. .....The clock is ticking.

Pretty good chance lol. Assuming the GSC survives, or even doesnt get an autobid, Even with the SIAC, CC and SAC autobids You'll have a hard time convincing 99% of folks who follow D2 that 2-3 teams out of those 4 aren't the best at large teams.

This year, I would say UWF followed by UWA have the better 2 chances.
