Overall, that is a better week 0 than I expected.

The GSC/SIAC crossover thing is interesting. VSU is 3-0 against Clarke Atlanta. I think this will be the first meeting between West Bama and Fort Valley.

I'm almost certain I remember UWA/Albany State. I would have thought over all the years given the general proximity that they would have played FV at least once.

We have never played Fort Valley in football. We have played Albany.

UWA and Albany State last played each other in the opening round of the 2009 playoffs. UWA won 24-22

Obviously the big headliner games are UCM @ DSU and LR @ UWF, but I'm looking forward to Valdosta vs. Clark Atlanta. Normally it'd probably be an easy Blazer win, but the new head coach at Clark is working wonders over there-- he took them from winless in 2023 to SIAC runner-ups last season. Add in all the turnover at VSU this off-season, and I think this has the potential to be a pretty close game
