Not knowing much about Delta but NE St is the real deal. They were a home choke away from making the playoffs last year barely losing to West Florida and Missouri S&T..

Saw my first DSU game in 1971, and have watched them many times since. After hearing this score, my thoughts went from NE State must really be something, to Dean still have it? to Did everyone leave DSU? I eventually settled on (hopefully) NE State is really something.

Guess we will known shortly.

Dean was the OC at VSU and was elevated to HC when Hatcher left. He kept several members of Hatcher's staff, and over the years, he gave many of his players the chance to work up from being graduate assistants, or he hired them after they got some coaching experience elsewhere.

When he took over UWG, his staff was full of coaches with whom he had prior experience.

The coaches listed on DSU's page have very little to no info in their bios. The only name I recognized was a player from VSU's 2012 season. His Twitter/X account is full of posts looking for players this summer.

It looks like Dean had to piece together a staff and inherited a depleted roster.

Not sure how that’s news or new. Every program is looking for players during the summer. Some depart, don’t make grades, decide not to go to school.

yep everyone is doing it but seeing NAIA players transfer in (in general, not specific to these posts)might be scary for some.
My point being,every program is under intense pressure to produce but some areas are void of talent and offering an extra scoop of Blue Bell ice cream at supper, even with a David Dean at the helm, might not get it done.

She tends to get focused on other things instead of what she is hunting. Sweet dog though. Family loves her. We just don’t depend on her helping out food on the table. You get my point I think.

The first game of the season can sometimes be about out athleting the other team. As the year goes on, coaching, and execution can close the gap. NSU is not a team that many are going to out athlete.
