Limestone begins our sixth season playing college football with now our 4th head football coach. Brian Turk is now our new head coach after being our offensive coordinator last season.

Limestone finished the 2018 season last in the SAC in scoring offense (18.1), last in total offense (318.0), last in rushing offense (98.2), and last in first downs (15.7).

Limestone lost to West Alabama last season 16-13. Limestone scored a go-ahead TD with 3 minutes left in the game but was called back for holding, missed a field goal, then WGU kicked a 45 yard field goal for the win with no time remaining.....

We will see how much we have improved tonight.........

QB Phillips threw for over 300 yards, but can't sustain drives unless he completes a long pass against a poor West Alabama secondary. Completed less than 50% of his passes. Has accuracy problems. Limestone has 2 or 3 outstanding RB's but are not used properly. Rushed for 106 yards in the game but 60 yards came in the last drive of the game against WA 2nd team defense. RB Patton was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017. RB Brooks was our leading rusher last season. Neither of them started the game. Defense played tough. Secondary not coached very well. Many busted coverages.... Got a long 7 hour drive back home to Spartanburg..... Limestone has West Georgia next week who beat Catawba 37-9.
