L-R fighting for playoff lives, Bears win.
I like the Highland Cavs to win
      Mars Hill
      Newberry. Catawba isn't good.
      Wingate by 3 tuds

Carson Newman--- it's time to upset someone. you can do it eagles
Tusculum----They will be in the top 3 at end of season
Mars Hill---there QB is the real deal. Rest of team is just so-so
Newberry--need to defend the pass to win this
        Wingate-- backups will get reps

LR is up on CN 56-0 with almost 15 minutes to go in the 4th, even with the Bear's coach trying to call off the dogs.

            Embarrassing!

While I was not at the game, first time this year, I followed via the internet, and we (Bear Supporters) are all very happy for the way this game turned out. I do sincerely hope that it is a turning point in our season and future.
However, I will wait to see how we perform against some real competition before I say this coaching staff has found its way. I sincerely hope they have.
Lenior Rhyne decided quite a few years ago to reach for greatness, for excellence in all it does. Not just athletics, but also in its physical facilities, its band, in its academics, and in it's impact on the community it resides.
Like it or not, the Football Program has the ability to expose the largest number of people to this fabulous institution. I truly hope this coaching staff is up to that challenge.

Our starting QB was a game-time decision after nursing possibly fractured ribs all week. So, what do we call the 2nd play of the game? A QB run. He slid and was not hit but injured his ribs further while sliding and did not return. He is possibly out for the rest of the season. Our backup QB (a true freshman) received a concussion later in the first half so we finished the game with the 3rd string qb (also a true freshman). I don't think we would have won the game but we may have actually gone over 200 yards of total offense. The games are really hard to watch, but my wife & I keep going to them all anyway, if for no other reason than to support the kids.
