One of my church members here was on an NCAA selection committee in 1981. According to what he told me 2 weeks ago, my alma mater, Wingate, would probably rank statistically higher than Newberry the team they lost to that week. From what he said Wingate's "points for vs points against" was a "significant statistic" since it was in the top 10 nationwide.
