  • Season's coming up quickly

Carson Newman will kick off the 2026 season (at Burke Tarr Stadium) in less than 100 days against Point University . Clock's ticking.

They aren't playing Point. They are playing Tiffin.

Didn't mean anything by it, was just wondering if there was something specific about the "clock ticking" with CN? Otherwise, the same could be said for every school. Season starts in x number of days, clock ticking etc. I just thought maybe something unusual was going on with CN.

Sorry about that. Not really, other than looking forward to football starting. The Eagles open with what I would call a couple of 'easy' opponents, before getting into the heat of the season.

The first 2 games are against NAIA teams which I feel are tune-ups, but really don't benefit the SOS. This makes every game following more important.

Now, with that being said, I believe Carson Newman will be one of the best teams in the region this season. 👍

season opener against Point was changed to Tiffin. Schedule on the website just hasn't been updated yet but it's listed on Tiffin's site.

                That's great!!! 👍
Major upgrade (will boost the SOS), and will give the Eagles a legitimate test early.

In review of the upcoming season and based on feedback about rosters, schedules, and trends, I believe that Carson Newman and Wingate will finish at the top of the SAC this coming season, and will end up representing the conference in the regional playoffs.

Emory and Henry may also be in the mix at the top.
