Looks like Kentucky State joined the SIAC in 1997. No championships. One in men's and one in women's basketball.

I won't hold my breath in anticipation. Only Francisco Franco could hold out that long.

No way that's happening anytime within the next few decades. OVC isn't taking them, they are extreme outliers for the MEAC and SWAC, and I doubt the Big South is even that desperate.

I'm guessing the new HC is just trying to justify why he left the NFL to take the KSU job.

For that matter, they should ask Winston-Salem State how their attempts to move to D1 worked out - and WSSU is at least 5x the size of Kentucky State.
